Kyiv And Dnipro To Help Odesa With Public Transport

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) As reported by Ukrinform, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko announced this on Telegram.

“Kyiv and Dnipro have decided to join forces to help Odesa, which is constantly coming under enemy attacks. Odesa is in urgent need of public transport, as the enemy has destroyed much of its rolling stock,” he wrote.

Klitschko recalled that in October 2022, Kyiv provided Dnipro with 30 passenger buses for use as replacements for those destroyed in a Russian attack.

“Now Odesa needs buses. So, Dnipro, as the city that used them, and Kyiv, which owns the vehicles, have jointly agreed to support the people of Odesa and send some of the buses – seven of them – to Odesa for use,” the Kyiv Mayor stressed.

He specified that the buses Kyiv provided to Dnipro, some of which will now be sent to Odesa, are MAZ vehicles of two models, with low floors and passenger capacities of 100 and 150 people.

The buses are equipped with ramps for the convenience of passengers using wheelchairs. The driver cabins have air-conditioning systems. Their engines and automatic transmissions are manufactured by well-known companies Mercedes-Benz and Voith, ensuring reliable operation.
