Countries, Organisations Condemn Drone Attack On Saudi Pipeline
Amman, September 12 (Petra) – Several Arab and Islamic countries and organisations on Saturday condemned the targeting of Saudi Arabia's East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Medina regions by multiple drones launched from Iraq.
Qatar, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, the UAE, Kuwait, Mauritania, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain and Pakistan condemned the attack, expressing solidarity with Saudi Arabia and stressing that targeting civilian and vital infrastructure constitutes a violation of international law and threatens regional security and stability.
Kuwait called on the Iraqi government to take necessary measures to prevent its territory from being used as a launchpad for such attacks and to work to halt them and prevent their recurrence.
The Arab League, the Muslim World League and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) also condemned the attack, describing it as a dangerous escalation and a threat to Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and vital facilities.
