Air Defense Downs Six Kalibr Missiles, Two Air-Launched Missiles, 101 Drones In Overnight Attack

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.

During the night of September 11-12 (from 18:00 on September 11), Russian forces attacked Ukraine with:

• Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Russia's Voronezh and Rostov regions and the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea;
• eight Kalibr sea-launched cruise missiles from the Black Sea;
• six Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the airspace over the Black Sea;
• 129 Shahed-type attack UAVs (half of them jet-powered), S8000 Banderol missiles and Parodiya-type decoy drones from Kursk and Oryol in Russia, the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

The main target of the attack was the Odesa region.

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, air defense had shot down or suppressed 110 targets, including:

• six Kalibr cruise missiles;
• one S8000 Banderol;
• two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles;
• 101 enemy UAVs, including Shahed, Gerbera and other types of drones.

Hits by enemy missiles and attack UAVs were recorded at 20 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at four locations.

The attack is ongoing, and enemy UAVs remain in Ukrainian airspace.
