Putin Will Never Abandon Attempts To Occupy All Of Ukraine - Zelensky

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with Canadian public broadcaster CBC.

"Putin wants to occupy all of Ukraine. And he will if we are not so strong, if the world is tired and if we do not have security guarantees. What kind of guarantees? I don't have to be afraid that he will not occupy us tomorrow, because he will never change his goals," Zelensky said.

He noted that he was ready for direct talks with Putin to achieve peace.

"I am fine with sitting down at the negotiating table with him. It's not that I want to, because it would be better to sit with my family, since he is the enemy. Why talk to the enemy? For the sake of a result that could bring us closer to peace," Zelensky said.

Zelensky added that defeating Russia on the battlefield would be difficult because of the potentially heavy losses.

"It is difficult to defeat Russia because you lose people during an offensive. It's all about the number of losses. That is the cost, and it's awful to talk about such a high price in the 21st century," he said.
