Russian Forces Execute Two National Guard Soldiers Near Dobropillia In Donetsk Region
Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pretrial investigation has been launched into a criminal proceeding over the commission of a war crime resulting in loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"On September 2, two servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine were at a firing position in a tree line near Dobropillia. According to the investigation, the Ukrainian defenders, who were carrying out a combat mission, were captured by the occupiers. Subsequently, members of the Russian Armed Forces executed them by shooting them with automatic weapons," the statement said.

The prosecutor's office stressed that the killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.
Russian military personnel have executed at least 345 Ukrainian servicemen who surrendered since the start of the full-scale invasion.
