Jordan Condemns Drone Attack On Saudi East-West Pipeline

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Jordan on Friday condemned a drone attack targeting the East-West Pipeline in the Saudi regions of Riyadh and Medina, saying the drones had been launched from Iraqi territory.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a“flagrant violation” of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

The ministry reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, voicing support for all measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its sovereignty, security, resources and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Saudi Arabia temporarily shut down its East-West Pipeline after it was targeted in several attacks in the Riyadh and Madinah regions, the Ministry of Energy said on Friday.

Several people were injured in the attacks, which took place on Thursday morning, according to the Riyadh-based Arab News.
