The Ninth Meeting of the First Session of the Eleventh Parliament convened following the winter recess.

”There is a substantial amount of work to be undertaken, particularly the consideration of Bills and reports from Parliamentary Committees”

This was said by the Clerk of the National Assembly Adv. Lebohang Maema, King's Counsel (KC), in an interview with the Agency.

Adv. Maema indicated that the Water Resources Management Bill and the Tax Administration Bill, as well as the operationalisation of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution Act, 2025, are among the key matters that still need to be finalised, noting that consequently, there is a substantial amount of work ahead for the National Assembly.

The National Assembly adjourned in June 2026 for the winter recess.
