Ukrinform Presents Book 'Victory Commanders' In Lviv

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Lviv Regional Military Administration's Department of Communications and Internal Policy said this in a statement seen by Ukrinform.

The book "Victory Commanders" was presented during the 33rd International BookForum at the Lviv Palace of Arts. The publication brings together more than 20 stories about Ukrainian commanders and their units. The book is based on interviews that were published over the course of a year on the national news agency's platforms. The figures featured in the book include military and state leadership, commanders of military branches, as well as commanders of combat units.

Speaking at the presentation, Deputy Head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Kulepin emphasized the importance of documenting the history of the struggle and the role of leadership in the war.

"The book 'Victory Commanders' is not simply a collection of interviews. It is a living history of our struggle, captured through the actions of people who take on the highest responsibility – responsibility for the lives of their soldiers and the fate of combat missions," Kulepin said.

He added that it is very important today to preserve and share these stories, because it is through the examples of such commanders that "our state's resilience is forged, and future generations will know the price of our freedom."

The event included a series of panel discussions. The audience heard from Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, representative of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate Andrii Yusov, Head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Oleh Nalyvaiko, Ukrinform Director General Serhii Cherevatyi, as well as the people featured in the book and relatives of fallen soldiers.
