DIU Deploys Interceptor Drones To Protect Kyiv's Airspace
“Exclusive footage shows members of the FERRATA Special Operations Unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate (DIU) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine-which includes the 'Black Sea Legion' naval detachment-conducting a joint operation with the Ukrainian Air Force and other components of the Security and Defense Forces to protect Kyiv's airspace,” according to a statement from the DIU.
During the implementation of multi-tiered, layered air defense measures in September 2026, DIU special forces deployed Katran unmanned platforms-carriers of interceptor drones and radar reconnaissance equipment.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released information about the Russian RM-48U missil from the S-400“Triumph” air defense missile system and the company that manufactures it.
