Troy Walker
- Senior Research Fellow, School of Health and Social Development, Deakin University
I am a proud Yorta Yorta man with English and Macedonian ancestry living and working Yorta Yorta Country in Echuca/Moama. With a background in Aboriginal health, musculoskeletal health, human nutrition and lifestyle medicine I bring a holistic approach to clinical and research practice.
At Deakin University, I co-founded the Murnong Health Research Mob, the Faculty of Health's premiere Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health research team, where I've been an active member since its inception in 2019. I've been fortunate to lead or co-lead research projects related to nutrition, musculoskeletal health, the commercial determinants of health and the impact of the pharmacy and pharmaceutical industries on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Experience- –present Lecturer, Deakin University
