Media Advisory: MADD Canada To Unveil New Roadside Memorial Sign Honouring Alexandra Ollington Killed In Impaired Driving Crash

(MENAFN- GlobeNewsWire - Nasdaq) FORT SASKATCHEWAN, Alberta, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Media are invited to attend a roadside memorial sign unveiling ceremony hosted by MADD Canada in memory of 17-year-old Alexandra Ollington, who was tragically killed in a head-on impaired driving crash on Highway 21, just north of Township Road 542 in Fort Saskatchewan.

On September 17, 2020, an impaired driver was travelling the wrong way on Highway 21 when his northbound pickup truck collided with Alexandra's SUV, which was heading south and carrying two other teens. The collision killed Alexandra and her friend and injured another teen. The driver's blood alcohol concentration was two-and-a-half times the legal limit.
