Kazakh Ambassador, Herat Governor Discuss Trade, Investment
The Herat governor's media office said on X today that the meeting took place during the ambassador's visit to Herat.
The ambassador described Herat as one of Afghanistan's key economic provinces and stressed the need to use its existing potential to promote economic growth and expand trade with Kazakhstan.
According to the source, he said Kazakhstan was working to expand trade with Afghanistan and that Herat's vast potential could contribute to economic growth and stronger commercial ties between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Islam-Jar welcomed the Kazakh ambassador and thanked Kazakhstan for its cooperation in developing trade and transit.
Referring to Herat's economic and strategic importance, the governor stressed the need to strengthen the Torghundi port to facilitate trade between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.
He also highlighted investment opportunities for Kazakhstan in Herat, saying the province was ready to attract investment because of its strategic location and that the necessary conditions had been created for both domestic and foreign investors.
