Egypt's Military Production Ministry Signs International Cooperation Pact At El Alamein Airshow
Minister of State for Military Production Salah Suleiman Jumblatt witnessed the signing ceremony for the agreement, which aims to facilitate the exchange of technical and technological expertise and maximise the manufacturing capabilities available to both parties.
Jumblatt stated that the contract reflects the ministry's focus on opening new horizons for industrial partnerships between its affiliated companies and global counterparts across various fields, primarily in defence manufacturing. He noted that these efforts implement directives from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to build strategic partnerships with specialised global entities and the international private sector to strengthen national capabilities.
During the second day of the exhibition, Jumblatt also explored joint cooperation opportunities and topics of mutual interest with representatives from French, Italian, Bulgarian, and English companies. He emphasised the ministry's commitment to leveraging the manufacturing, technological, and technical resources of its subsidiaries to forge mutually beneficial strategic alliances with specialised global firms.
Representatives of the foreign companies expressed their keenness to strengthen ties with Egyptian military production firms. They affirmed that the ministry's exhibits at the event reflect its ongoing developmental efforts to enhance its role in defence manufacturing, paving the way for fruitful joint collaboration.
Furthermore, representatives of the unnamed global company that signed the cooperation contract expressed their satisfaction in partnering with the ministry, citing the distinguished manufacturing, technological, technical, human, and infrastructural capabilities of its affiliated companies.
The meetings took place during the second edition of the El Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026), which is being held from Sept. 8 to 10 at El Alamein International Airport under the auspices of Sisi, who serves as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
