Seeds of "Silphium perfoliatum" (cup plant), offered by the Polesie Agrarian-Ecological Institute, represent an innovative new product on the market today. "Silphium perfoliatum" is a plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, the Heliantheae tribe, and the "Silphium" genus. As a forage crop, "Silphium perfoliatum" offers a number of advantages over the traditional plants used in modern forage production in Belarus. It is a perennial honey-producing forage crop suitable for use in "green conveyor" systems (continuous green forage supply); it provides early, highly nutritious green fodder with high dry-matter protein content (over 20%) and serves as raw material for silage production. Under the climatic conditions of the Republic of Belarus, the productive lifespan of "Silphium perfoliatum" can exceed 25 years.

Promotion of environmental and socio-economic innovations within the framework of local sustainable development strategies and "green" economy projects in the Belarusian Polesie;
- Hydroecology and Ecotechnologies. Assessment of water quality (drinking, surface, and wastewater); numerous projects are being implemented regarding the setting of standards for water protection and use, as well as waste processing; scientific research is being conducted in relevant and promising areas related to improving water quality in our region and minimizing pollution risks;
- Feed quality. Analysis of compliance by agro-industrial organizations with technological regulations and standards during agricultural production.
