Israeli Strike Kills Palestinian Family in Gaza Despite Ceasefire
(MENAFN) An Israeli airstrike on a residential property in northern Gaza killed four members of the same Palestinian family on Thursday, despite the ceasefire that remains in place.
The attack struck a house belonging to the Ahmed family in the Beit Lahia Project area, with the victims’ bodies later transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, according to medical officials.
Several other Palestinians were wounded in the strike, while rescue efforts continued for people believed to be trapped beneath the debris.
Elsewhere in northern Gaza, a number of injured Palestinians were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital after Israeli military vehicles and a drone reportedly fired toward shelters and tents occupied by displaced families in Jabalia refugee camp.
An Israeli airstrike was also reported near Kamal Adwan Hospital in the same area.
Further attacks were reported along Gaza’s coastline and central areas, where Israeli naval vessels opened intense fire toward waters near Khan Younis as well as locations east of the central Gaza Strip.
The latest incidents add to a series of reported violations of the ceasefire that began on Oct. 10, 2025.
Since the war began in October 2023, Israeli military operations have killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 174,000 others, while large portions of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure have been destroyed or severely damaged.
