Jordan Sends 13Th Aid Convoy To Lebanon

Amman, Sept. 10 (Petra) -- Jordan, through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), sent its 13th humanitarian aid convoy to Lebanon on Wednesday, in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the World Food Programme (WFP), to help meet humanitarian needs in affected areas.

The convoy was prepared based on field assessments of needs, with the aim of supporting the healthcare sector and providing essential supplies to those most in need.

The JHCO continues to coordinate aid with its international partners and direct it toward priority sectors. The convoy consisted of 14 trucks carrying medical supplies and personal hygiene kits.

The convoy is part of Jordan's continued efforts to provide humanitarian support and assistance to countries, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to its humanitarian role and to standing alongside affected people and those most in need.

The JHCO expressed its appreciation to the Syrian authorities for their cooperation and for facilitating the convoy's passage, helping ensure that the aid reaches the intended beneficiaries and supports joint humanitarian efforts.

The organization said it works in coordination with official Lebanese authorities to ensure that various forms of aid reach the areas most affected and address needs that directly affect beneficiaries' lives. Since the beginning of the crisis, 12 convoys have been sent, comprising 239 trucks carrying 2,756 tons of various relief supplies.
