Building on the success of the acclaimed KK 204 and KK 205 capsule heads, we are excited to introduce their successors: the KK 104 A and KK 105 A for Sennheiser wireless systems. These new capsule heads combine Neumann’s renowned condenser technology with an updated design, improved suppression of handling noise, and compatibility with the latest Sennheiser wireless platforms.

THE PRODUCT
Studio Quality for Wireless Systems
The KK 104 A and KK 105 A are premium quality condenser capsule heads that use the same capsule technology as Neumann's highly successful KMS series wired stage microphones. Unlike conventional dynamic stage microphones, these true condenser capsules deliver the transparency, detail, and transient response that have made Neumann microphones the standard in professional studios worldwide.
The new A-series capsule heads succeed the popular KK 204 and KK 205 models, featuring a more elegant form factor and noticeably reduced handling noise while maintaining the ruggedness required for demanding live applications.
Both capsule heads offer:
• Transparent Neumann condenser sound
• Excellent pop protection
• High resistance to handling noise
• Enormous SPL capability
• Outstanding feedback resistance
• Robust construction for professional stage use
Compared with dynamic microphones, the KK 104 A and KK 105 A provide a smoother frequency response, superior transient response, and an airy high-frequency presentation. The result is a more immediate, emotional, and intelligible vocal sound – requiring less equalization while simultaneously improving feedback resistance.
Optimized for close miking, both capsule heads incorporate a fixed low cut filter to compensate for the proximity effect, ensuring clear and controlled low frequencies even when used at extremely close distances. A hardened steel grille with an integrated pop screen protects the capsule from moisture while effectively controlling plosives and sibilance.
APPLICATIONS
Neumann capsule heads in combination with Sennheiser wireless systems have already proven their outstanding sound quality and reliability on some of the world's largest stages, including major international television productions such as the Eurovision Song Contest.
The KK 104 A features a tight cardioid pickup pattern with excellent feedback resistance. Compared with the supercardioid variant KK 105 A, it offers a slightly more open sound character and is more forgiving of positioning and head movements, making it an ideal choice for expressive vocal performers.
The KK 105 A employs a precise supercardioid pattern that provides increased rejection of unwanted sound and improved separation from neighboring instruments. This results in an exceptionally direct and intimate vocal sound, making it especially suitable for crowded stages and challenging monitoring environments.
Both models are ideally suited for vocals and speech in feedback-prone environments and work equally well with in-ear monitoring and conventional stage monitoring systems.
