Defense Forces Use“Middle Strike” Capabilities To Hit 17 Russian Air Defense Systems And 30 Command Posts In August

Among the targets struck were 17 air defense systems, six bridges, more than 20 warehouses, and more than 30 command posts.

In accordance with the President's directive, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and units of the Defense Forces are systematically working to intensify strikes deep into enemy territory.

Every destroyed radar station, air defense system, and electronic warfare system opens the way for strikes deep into the rear of the Russian Federation's army. Destroyed bridges complicate logistics. Struck warehouses and command posts reduce the combat readiness of enemy units.

To ensure the unimpeded operation of Ukrainian weapons systems, the destruction of Russian air defense systems continued in August.

In particular, the following S-400 air defense systems were struck:“Triumf” (Gelendzhik and Bryansk Oblast, Russian Federation),“Pantsir” (Yeysk, Russian Federation),“Tor” (Rostov Oblast, Russian Federation),“Buk-M3” (Luhansk Oblast), and“Strela-10” (Kreminna, Luhansk Oblast).

A number of radar stations were also destroyed, including the long-range“Nebo-U” radar in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol, the“Nebo-SV” radar, the“Kasta” and“Podlyot” stations, as well as electronic warfare systems, notably the“Peresvet-M” in the temporarily occupied Luhansk.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continued to systematically strike at the Russian Federation's logistical arteries.

The“Syvash” railway bridges in the Chongar area, near Vladyslavivka and Svitlodolynske, as well as road bridges across the Seim River in the Kursk Oblast and the Molochna River in the Zaporizhzhia region, were targeted. A crossing over the Mokri Yaly River in the Donetsk region was also struck.

In addition to infrastructure facilities, the Defense Forces struck more than 20 warehouses containing logistical supplies and ammunition, as well as repair bases in the temporarily occupied territories and in the border regions of the Russian Federation.

In August, the systematic identification and destruction of Russian targets associated with the use of unmanned systems and naval vessels continued.

A base for unmanned naval craft in Chernomorsk (Crimea) was destroyed.

More than 30 strikes were also carried out against command centers, storage facilities, and launch sites for attack UAVs, particularly in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, the Donetsk region, and in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

A number of ground-based relay stations used to control“Geran/Gerbera”-type strike UAVs were disabled, weakening the enemy's ability to coordinate drone attacks.

Russian military command posts were struck by“middle strike” weapons, including the main and backup command posts in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, an FSB unit in Shchaslyvtseve (Kherson region), and a UAV training center in the temporarily occupied city of Luhansk.

“The systematic use of 'middle strike' capabilities allows Ukraine to systematically reduce Russia's military potential and disrupts the stability of the enemy army's command and control system,” the Ministry of Defense noted.

As reported by Ukrinform, in July, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued their systematic campaig to strike Russian operational rear areas and logistics routes using“middle strike” capabilities, focusing on disrupting supply lines in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
