Neura Robotics And SECO Partner To Scale 4NE1 Humanoid Production
The companies say the agreement is intended to support scalable series production in Europe while also extending their collaboration into physical AI applications for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing.
The compute modules will integrate Qualcomm Dragonwing processors and form part of Neura's distributed“Brain + Nervous System” architecture.
Neura distributes sensing and computing throughout its robots through what it calls its Smart Limb concept, placing processing closer to joints and sensors where low-latency decisions are required. SECO will provide engineering and manufacturing expertise to industrialize the corresponding compute modules.
The companies are also planning a Neura Gym in Italy, which will become Neura's first training hub in Southern Europe, and intend to collect production data as Neura robots are deployed in industrial environments.
That data will also support a joint effort to develop physical AI automation for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, with the aim of teaching robots increasingly complex production processes and turning those capabilities into systems that can be deployed more widely.
