My teaching and research focus on the critical sociocultural study of sport, physical culture, and leisure practices. I have published previous work on fitness culture in contemporary India, the global governance of baseball and softball, women's experiences in outdoor recreation, and embodied motherhood. My current interests include the history and globalization of women's baseball, the complexities of American yoga culture, and the convergence of art and sport in professional soccer.
