Sourcecode Launches Public Affairs Services In US And UK

(MENAFN- PRovoke) NEW YORK & LONDON - International tech agency SourceCode Communications has launched a public affairs offer in partnership with two public affairs specialists, to help tech leaders navigate the increasingly blurred lines between policy, politics and public opinion.

The agency is partnering with US-based Talisman and UK-based Parisi Consulting to offer the new services, which include campaign and political strategy, executive communications and capital market comms.

SourceCode co-founder Becky Honeyman said the new offer would support tech leaders under greater pressure than ever to communicate on the broader issues impacting the public.

“The expectation for the C-suite to not only comment, but also to help shape public policy is only going to grow as new technologies such as AI enter people's daily lives in more meaningful ways,” she said.

“As the worlds of tech evolution and policy development become ever more intertwined, we saw an opportunity and appetite from our clients to extend our support beyond traditional audiences, to influence and shape the conversations informing policy decisions.”

Talisman was founded by Tim Biba after he served as an aide to a former president and vice president of the United States and as senior advisor to three members of Congress.

After leaving public service, Biba co-led the corporate communications practice at a leading financial communications and investor relations firm, where he built communications strategies for more than a dozen public listings on Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange and advised C-suite executives navigating pivotal moments.

Biba said:“Leaders of public companies in the US and Europe are facing higher expectations and scrutiny from regulators and consumers, especially if they run on consumer and public data or use public infrastructure. Those expectations are warranted, and to succeed, leaders need advisors who understand the dynamics of public sentiment and building public trust.

This is especially true for company leaders who are finding themselves accountable to new constituents like retail investors. We know this group behaves similarly to voters; they do their homework, they are heavily influenced by news and what their peers say online, they want to engage directly, and they tend to make investments based on their perception of the leaders, policies and market forces that shape public life.

All of this means the C-suite must have a clear perspective on the issues, and the ability to clearly, coherently and consistently articulate it.”

2026 has already seen headlines and grassroots campaigns springing up in both Europe and the US in response to tech services expansion, the proliferation and impact of AI on communities, infrastructure and careers.

Laura Moss, founder and managing partner of Parisi Consulting in London, said: "For business leaders operating across the UK and Europe, public affairs is no longer a specialist consideration; it's a core business issue. Corporate reputation, investor confidence and commercial success are increasingly shaped by how organisations engage with policy and the wider public debate.

"One of the biggest lessons from our work is that organizations that understand the political, regulatory and media landscape are better placed to anticipate change, engage constructively with policymakers, and make better strategic decisions."

Honeyman added:“Several clients in our portfolio are already working closely with our public affairs teams, and we're confident this will continue to be a growth area for us across our US, UK and mainland European teams.”
