Türkiye Rebukes Attacks Carried Out by Houthi Against Saudi Arabia

(MENAFN) Türkiye issued a forceful condemnation Tuesday of recent Houthi attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, warning that the strikes endanger civilian lives and risk further destabilizing an already volatile region.

"We condemn in the strongest terms the recent attacks carried out by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia, which disregard the safety of civilians and escalate tensions in the region," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Ankara reaffirmed its firm backing of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, signaling solidarity with Riyadh amid the escalating hostilities emanating from Yemen.

The ministry also cautioned that the attacks threaten to derail ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at securing a lasting political resolution to the broader conflict in Yemen, undercutting months of negotiation.

"We call on the Houthis to cease their aggressive actions immediately," the statement added, closing with a direct appeal for de-escalation.
