25 Pharmacies, Clinics And Health Centres Closed In Khost
A statement from the provincial administration said the facilities were closed following an inspection conducted by officials of the Khost Public Health Department.
According to the statement, 12 pharmacies were closed due to the absence of pharmacists and the provision of unauthorised services.
It added that six injection rooms, two dental clinics, one laboratory, three outpatient department (OPD) examination rooms and one traditional health centre were closed for operating without licences.
The statement said that during the inspection, 97 types of expired medicines weighing a total of 45 kilograms were also collected and handed over to the Khost Public Health Department for destruction.
Officials of the Public Health Department said monitoring of health facilities would continue and legal action would be taken against centres that fail to comply with rules and regulations governing health services.
