Azzan Mohamed to step down as Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN- Shamalcomms) Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Messe Frankfurt Middle East has announced that Azzan Mohamed will step down from his position as Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia at the end of November 2026 for personal reasons. Azzan will remain with the company throughout the month prior to his departure, working between the Riyadh and Dubai offices to support a smooth transition and ensure continuity across Messe Frankfurt’s business in the Kingdom.
Since taking on the role of Managing Director, Azzan has played an important part in establishing Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia and laying the foundations for the company’s next phase of growth in the Kingdom. His responsibilities have spanned the company’s commercial activities and event portfolio, alongside government relations, strategic partnerships and the development of locally relevant exhibition platforms.
His contribution to Messe Frankfurt’s Saudi business also extends beyond his current role. During an earlier period with Messe Frankfurt Middle East, Azzan was closely involved in the launch of Intersec Saudi Arabia, giving him a long-standing connection with the company’s development in the Kingdom.
Ted Bloom, Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “Azzan has made an important contribution to our business in Saudi Arabia, and we greatly appreciate the commitment and flexibility he has demonstrated throughout his time with us. Establishing a stronger permanent presence in the Kingdom has been an important step for Messe Frankfurt both locally and Globally, with Azzan having played a significant role in creating the progress we now enjoy from our Riyadh office.
“Over the coming months Azzan will remain an important and integrated part of our team, and we will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition. On behalf of everyone at Messe Frankfurt, I would like to thank him sincerely for his contribution to our business and wish him and his family every happiness and success for the future.”.”
During the transition period, Bloom will work alongside members of the Messe Frankfurt Middle East Executive Team and the company’s senior management team in Saudi Arabia to maintain the momentum of the business and its preparations for the upcoming exhibitions in the Kingdom.
Messe Frankfurt established its Saudi Arabian subsidiary in 2025 as part of its long-term commitment to the Kingdom and its growing exhibitions and events sector. The company continues to invest in its local presence, industry partnerships and portfolio of international trade fairs in Saudi Arabia.
