Derick M. J. Luong

Derick Luong is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of Technology Sydney and is an award-winning teacher specialising in criminal and media law. He teaches a range of law subjects - including the core Priestley 11 subjects, Criminal Law and Procedure and Foundations of Law at UTS.
Derick has also delivered guest lectures in Constitutional Law, Tort Law, and Media Law, and has been invited to teach at the University of Oxford, the University of Sydney, and the University of New South Wales.
Derick's teaching, research, and practice focus on the intersection of media freedom, defamation, and national security.
