Preliminary Agreement Reached On Zelenskytrump Meeting In September - MFA
“I can confirm that an in-person meeting [between the presidents - Ed.] has indeed been preliminarily agreed for later this month,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
Tykhyi said the opening of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York is one possible venue for a meeting between Zelensky and Trump, as the President of Ukraine attends it almost every year.
The MFA spopkesperson identified the peace process and efforts to find ways to end the war, the restoration of the trilateral format and a potential leaders' meeting, as well as the bilateral agenda between Ukraine and the United States - securing additional air defense capabilities, the prosperity plan, security guarantees, and the drone agreement - as possible topics for discussion.
