China Requests Ukraine Not To Strike Vladivostok During Vice Premier's Visit -- MFA
“I can confirm that the Chinese side did indeed officially approach the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry with a request not to strike that part of the Russian Federation where a high-level Chinese delegation would be staying... The Ukrainian side took note of this request,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
He added that this was not the first time Ukraine had received such requests. Similar requests had been received when senior Chinese officials were visiting Russian territory.
Kyodo News, citing informed sources, reported that China had asked Ukraine on September 4 to refrain from attacking Vladivostok in Russia's Far East while Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang was attending the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
