Sport Group Appoints Troy Randolph As Chief Financial Officer


(MENAFN- GlobeNewsWire - Nasdaq) GARCHING, Germany, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sport Group, a global leader in the sport surfaces business & Parent company for AstroTurf, has appointed Troy D. Randolph as Chief Financial Officer, effective August 17, 2026. Troy brings more than 25 years of Finance leadership across Fortune 500, venture capital-backed and private equity-backed industrial businesses. He reports to Chief Executive Officer Alejandro Pena, serves on the Senior Leadership Team and leads the company's global Finance and IT functions.

He joins Sport Group from Envu, the former Environmental Science division of Bayer, which was divested in October 2022. Troy joined Envu as Chief Financial Officer in September 2023 with a mandate to build the Finance, Legal and M&A capabilities after the carve-out from Bayer. Over the following three years, he and his team established a full Finance, governance, and control infrastructure across more than 42 countries. They also led the diligence and integration of three acquisitions and supported the sale process to GIC, which signed an agreement to acquire a partial ownership stake in the company in the first quarter of this year.

Prior to Envu, Troy was Chief Financial Officer of Loparex, a global manufacturer of release liners with eight production sites across the United States, Europe, and Asia. His prior roles included multiple CFO positions in private equity-backed companies, including Chromatin, Nautic Global and Guilford Mills. He began his career at General Electric, where he was a member of the Corporate Audit Staff and Finance Director for multiple divisions. He also served as an officer in the United States Army and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
