Amman, Sep. 8 (Petra) –Traffic Department of Public Security Directorate (PSD), in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, announced it has launched a "Report a Violation" service via "Sanad" e-government app.

This service enables citizens to electronically report a number of traffic violations and behaviors observed on the Kingdom's roads.

According to a ministry statement issued Tuesday, the service provides full details on the target road violation and features an option to attach a photo or video documenting the incident.

The report can then be submitted online through the app, and the relevant authorities will handle it, based on established procedures.

Under this new service, reportable violations include a range of traffic behaviors, particularly double parking, vehicle plate violations, public transportation inconsistencies, and reckless and stunt driving, as well as other dangerous practices.

The Ministry and the PSD affirmed that the reporter's identity is treated with "complete" confidentiality.

They noted that the service is part of deploying digital services to facilitate communication with citizens, enhance road safety, and empower the public to contribute to monitoring behaviors and practices that pose a danger to road users.

For accessing and submitting the report, the two sides said the public can log "Sanad" app, press "Report a Violation" service from the quick access menu, complete the required information.
