Turkish Airlines Set to Become Liverpool’s New Shirt Sponsor

(MENAFN) Turkish Airlines is set to become Liverpool’s main club partner and front-of-shirt sponsor starting from the 2027-28 season, marking a major commercial partnership between the global airline and the Premier League club.

“From June 2027, Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool FC’s main club partner, bringing together two organisations with a shared international reach and a commitment to connecting people around the world,” the club said in a statement.

Under the agreement, Turkish Airlines’ logo will feature on the front of the match shirts worn by Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and Academy teams once the partnership begins.

The five-year deal is reportedly valued at more than £300 million ($405 million), exceeding £60 million per season and making it one of the club’s most significant commercial agreements.

“This is a milestone announcement for us and we are delighted to welcome Turkish Airlines as our main club partner from June 2027,” Liverpool Chief Commercial Officer Ben Latty said.

“The front of the Liverpool shirt holds a special place in the history of our club. Turkish Airlines is a globally recognised organisation with an extensive international network, and we look forward to beginning our partnership and building a strong relationship together, with already strong foundations built from those special memories back in 2005.”

Latty pointed to Liverpool’s dramatic UEFA Champions League victory against AC Milan in Istanbul in 2005, a match that remains one of the most memorable moments in the club’s history.

Turkish Airlines CEO Ahmet Olmustur described Liverpool as “one of the world’s most recognised and respected football clubs, with an exceptional heritage and a truly global community of supporters.”

“We are very pleased that Turkish Airlines will become the club’s main club partner and that our name will take its place on one of the most iconic shirts in world sport,” he added.

Standard Chartered, which has served as Liverpool’s principal club partner since 2010, will continue in its existing position until the conclusion of the 2026-27 campaign. From the following season, it will transition into a global partnership role, according to the club.
