Dubai, UAE – Dubai Chambers has hosted a roundtable under the theme“Global Trade and Investment in Motion: Unlocking Bilateral Growth Corridors” as part of its participation in AIM Congress 2026. The session was attended by H.E. Fahad Al Gergawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and brought together 26 senior representatives from investment bodies, financial institutions, and global companies to explore ways to accelerate cross-border investment flows and support global trade growth.
Participants discussed ways to strengthen bilateral economic corridors to improve market access and long-term returns amid rapid changes in global supply chains and capital flows. They also explored practical measures to remove operational bottlenecks, align regulations and standards, and mobilise finance for cross-border growth. The discussion highlighted the importance of turning shared economic ambitions into projects and initiatives that deliver tangible, measurable results.

The roundtable addressed key barriers to global economic growth, including customs inefficiencies, regulatory complexity, and the need for structured co-investment frameworks. Participants also emphasised the importance of strengthening digital trade infrastructure and expanding companies' access to blended finance instruments. These measures can help de-risk investment in emerging markets and increase capital flows.
Participants highlighted the UAE's expanding network of Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements as a leading model for modern trade frameworks. They discussed how these agreements strengthen economic integration, reduce investment barriers, improve market access, and create an enabling environment for increased bilateral trade and FDI flows.
The session concluded with discussions on practical frameworks to strengthen institutional coordination among governments, development banks, and the private sector. Participants explored how these frameworks could establish clear pathways for cooperation and support the implementation of high-impact investment projects in priority sectors, including manufacturing, technology, logistics, and renewable energy.
The roundtable formed a key part of Dubai Chambers' participation as the official Trade and Investment Partner for AIM Congress 2026. The partnership is helping connect investors with promising investment opportunities in Dubai and international markets, supporting greater cooperation, and contributing to economic growth.
