RAK Hospital Launches Community Initiative To Empower Women Through Perimenopause And Menopause
(MENAFN- Mid-East Info) New Evolve Women's Wellness community brings together health education, awareness, expert guidance and wellness activities to help women navigate an important stage of life
Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – September 2026: Women navigating perimenopause and menopause often find themselves dealing with significant physical and emotional changes while trying to understand what is happening to their bodies. Recognising the need for greater awareness, education and community support during this important phase of life, RAK Hospital has launched Evolve Women's Wellness, a community initiative where women can learn, connect, stay active and access expert guidance to help them make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Evolve is built around the belief that women should not have to navigate major health and lifestyle changes alone. Going beyond medical care, the initiative brings together a multidisciplinary team and a holistic approach to women's wellbeing, combining health education, awareness, expert medical insights, wellness activities and social connection to create a supportive community where women can openly discuss their concerns, learn from experts and connect with others going through similar experiences. “Women often reach perimenopause and menopause with many questions, but not always with the information or support they need. It is a significant transition, and while it is a natural part of ageing, the physical and emotional changes can affect many aspects of a woman's life. Evolve is about creating a community where women can learn, ask questions, stay active and connect with others who may be experiencing similar changes. We want women to feel informed and supported, rather than feeling that they have to navigate this phase on their own,” said Dr. Malgorzata Sinclair, Consultant & Head of Obstetrics & Gynecology at RAK Hospital. Unlike a conventional healthcare programme centred primarily on consultations, Evolve is designed as an ongoing women's wellness community. As part of the initiative, RAK Hospital will organise regular educational sessions, workshops and community events, giving women opportunities to hear from healthcare professionals, learn more about different aspects of women's health and discuss topics relevant to their changing health and wellbeing. The programme will also include wellness activities such as the Evolve Walking Club, encouraging women to remain physically active while creating opportunities to connect with others in the community. “Sometimes the first step is simply knowing that what you are experiencing is not something you have to silently live with. Changes in sleep, mood, energy, menstrual patterns and other symptoms can affect everyday life, and women should feel comfortable talking about them and seeking appropriate medical advice,” said Dr. Sinclair. Evolve builds on RAK Hospital's existing focus on women's health, including its dedicated menopause care. The hospital's approach to menopause support looks beyond individual symptoms to areas such as hormonal health, bone health, cardiovascular and metabolic wellbeing, nutrition, lifestyle and appropriate treatment options. “At the heart of Evolve is expert guidance from our teams across gynecology, endocrinology, nutrition and psychology, bringing together a multidisciplinary approach to help women better understand the changes taking place in their bodies and how these can affect different aspects of their health. But wellbeing extends beyond medical care. Evolve is about giving women practical tools they can use in their everyday lives, from guidance on nutrition, dermatology and physiotherapy to emotional wellbeing and stress management, while creating opportunities to enjoy the journey through activities such as yoga, walking clubs, sound healing and other wellness experiences,” said Ms. Deema Alsabi, Program Manager, Chronic Disease Management and Nutritionist at RAK Hospital.
