Militants And Looters Among Candidates In Russia's State Duma“Elections” In Occupied Donetsk Region -- Intelligence

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrinform reports this, citing the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

“The list of candidates in Donetsk region shows what future Moscow is preparing for the occupied territories: militants in power; veterans of Russian aggression in schools; Ukrainian property in the hands of new Russian owners,” the statement said.

The campaign statements of certain candidates from the United Russia party are particularly revealing. Oleksandr Hrydenko, who fought on Russia's side and is a communications platoon commander in the“Wild Division of Donbas” armed formation, is proposing to effectively formalize a special status for participants in the so-called“SVO” in the occupied region, the intelligence service noted

This involves more than benefits and business privileges. He proposes allowing former combatants to enter schools, universities, and youth centers as mentors, supervisors, and trainers. In his own words, their combat experience should become“the foundation on which a new generation should grow.”

In other words, children are being offered not a return to normal life after the war, but the institutionalization of war as a means of raising the next generation, the Foreign Intelligence Service noted.

The election program of Danylo Lytvynenko, a participant in the“primaries,” is even more explicit.“The document records his proposal to classify real estate in the occupied territories as 'ownerless' and create the possibility of transferring it free of charge to citizens of the Russian Federation. This includes houses and apartments whose owners left because of the occupation and cannot return,” the intelligence service reported.

“The cynicism of this scheme is obvious: first, war and occupation drive Ukrainians from their homes, and then the absence of an owner is proposed as grounds for transferring their property to other individuals,” the Foreign Intelligence Service emphasized, adding:“This is no longer simply a campaign for parliamentary mandates. It is a political model of occupation: a serviceman is given the role of educator; a collaborator is granted political status; housing abandoned because of the war is given a new owner.”

Also among the candidates are Serhii Dobrovolskyi, head of the occupiers' youth structures and a former member of the illegal armed formation“Pyatnashka”; Yevhen Soboliev, a participant in the“SVO” and an employee of the occupation administration; Ivan Valov, a member of United Russia and a participant in the“SVO”; and Volodymyr Bodachevskyi, secretary of the United Russia branch in temporarily occupied Donetsk.

“The Kremlin's scheme is taking on very concrete contours: first drive Ukrainians out through war, then take their homes, and put those who fought against Ukraine in parliament and in charge of educating Ukrainian children,” the Foreign Intelligence Service stressed.

As the intelligence service recalled, history has already answered those who choose to collaborate with occupiers. In particular, in France during the Nazi occupation, resistance forces executed around 3,500 collaborators. After liberation from occupation, large-scale trials were held against collaborators in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Norway, and Denmark. According to various estimates, around 170,000 people were imprisoned in these five countries, approximately 11,000 received death sentences, and about 2,500 were executed.

The Foreign Intelligence Service assured that everyone involved in organizing and conducting the Russian pseudo-elections on Ukrainian territory would receive an appropriate legal assessment.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Kremlin plans to massively falsify elections to Russia's State Duma in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, setting turnout there at more than 65–70% and support for United Russia at no less than 70%.
