Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange And Colombo Stock Exchange Sign Mou To Strengthen Capital Market Connectivity
Discussions around the MoU were initiated between CSE and ADX by the Sri Lankan Ambassador in Abu Dhabi, H.E. Prof. Arusha Cooray during CSE's flagship 'Invest Sri Lanka' Investor Forum in the UAE, earlier this year.
The agreement will enable the two institutions to share related market expertise and collaborate on areas including electronic trading systems, exchange trading, technical infrastructure, market surveillance, clearing functions and post-trading capabilities. ADX and CSE also plan to organize joint conferences, seminars and educational programmes, while sharing knowledge on new products such as Exchange Traded Funds and derivatives.
The MoU will also enable CSE to explore joining Tabadul Hub, Abu Dhabi's first digital exchange network designed to facilitate mutual market access and trading connectivity among participating exchanges across the Middle East and globally. This would support greater access for international investors to the Sri Lankan capital market, while also creating new opportunities for Sri Lankan investors to connect with regional and global markets.
