Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian During West Bank Raid Near Nablus

(MENAFN) Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man during a military operation in the northern occupied West Bank on Tuesday, according to Palestinian health officials.

The Health Ministry identified the victim as 28-year-old Abdulkarim Suleiman, who was shot dead in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus.

According to local reports, Israeli troops entered the Al-Dayriya area of Aqraba before dawn and surrounded a house occupied by a family, including the father, his children and his mother.

The forces reportedly ordered the family members to leave the building, but the father refused to come out. The army then deployed additional military units and placed the house under a heavy security cordon.

Israeli troops subsequently fired a shell at the residence, damaging the structure and causing sections of it to collapse, according to local authorities.

Residents reported hearing gunfire and explosions throughout the prolonged military operation around the house.

The troops eventually pulled back from the area and notified the Palestinian side that Suleiman had been killed. His body was also reportedly kept by Israeli forces.

The occupied West Bank has faced intensifying Israeli military operations since the beginning of Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, with frequent raids, arrests, demolitions and attacks on Palestinians continuing across the territory.
