Kosovo Joins International Stabilization Mission in Gaza

(MENAFN) Kosovo signs an agreement to participate in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, marking the country’s formal commitment to the international mission.

The Kosovo Security Force (KSF) confirms the agreement during an official visit by Major General Jasper Jeffers, commander of the Gaza International Stabilization Force, and his delegation.

Under the arrangement, representatives of the Board of Peace and ISF Gaza sign a Participation Agreement with KSF Commander Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari.

During the ceremony, Jeffers praises Kosovo’s "decision and readiness" to take part in the mission, highlighting the importance of the KSF’s role in supporting international efforts to promote peace, security and stability.

Jashari says the KSF’s involvement in international security operations "is part of Kosovo’s vision to make a concrete contribution to promoting peace and security in the world."

"The KSF Commander emphasized that the KSF aims to continuously increase its contribution to international security, with a clear strategic objective of moving from a security importer to a security exporter, by actively contributing to building and maintaining peace and security together with international allies and partners," the statement added.
