Erdogan Warns Against Efforts to Encircle Türkiye
(MENAFN) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warns that Türkiye will not tolerate hostile actions intended to surround the country or obstruct its ambitions to remain an independent and prosperous state.
"Let no one’s imagination be led elsewhere by our dignified and calm stance. On these lands that we have made our homeland by giving and taking lives, we will allow no one to carry out an operation," Erdogan said following a Cabinet meeting in Ankara.
During the meeting, government officials address a range of domestic issues, including justice, economic conditions, urban development and efforts to make streets safer. Decisions are also taken with the aim of strengthening public welfare, stability, peace and security.
Erdogan says the messages delivered from Malazgirt have reached their intended audience, referring to the responses that followed.
"We will not watch from the sidelines hostile steps aimed at encircling our country in our region. Türkiye is against no country, society, faith, or culture. It is not possible for it to be otherwise. But Türkiye is against every illegality, every injustice, every act of tyranny and every form of banditry, regardless of where it comes from, and will continue to be so," he said.
The Turkish president reiterates that Ankara does not seek confrontation with other countries, societies or cultures, but maintains that it will oppose actions it considers unlawful, unjust or oppressive regardless of their origin.
