Jordan Condemns Houthi Attacks On Saudi Arabia
Amman, Sep. 8 (Petra) -- Jordan on Tuesday condemned the Houthi militia's targeting of civilian and economic sites in the areas of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilians.
Jordan also condemned the continued targeting of commercial vessels in the Red Sea by the Houthi militia, describing the attacks as a flagrant violation of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty, a threat to its security, stability, and territorial integrity, a blatant breach of international law and the UN Charter, and a threat to the safety and security of maritime navigation.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs affirmed Jordan's absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its full support for any measures taken to protect its security, stability, resources, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
