Russian Military Intelligence Serviceman Surrenders To Ukraine
The Russian special forces soldier laid down his arms and is now telling representatives of the project how commanders send members of the Russian army's“elite” on suicidal assaults.
The Russian serviceman said that the army's treatment of its personnel as“cannon fodder,” along with the consequences of the so-called“liberation” he witnessed, prompted him to consider surrendering. According to the prisoner of war, he realized that he was uncomfortable seeing himself as a soldier in an invading army that takes people's homes away from them.
The man is now safe and under the protection of the Geneva Conventions. He is urging other Russian servicemen who have come to recognize the criminal nature of their army's actions to contact the“I Want to Live” project.
“By contacting the project, through which Russian servicemen can voluntarily surrender, he not only protected himself from a senseless death but also set an example for others to follow,” the Coordination Headquarters said.

Its purpose is to help Russian servicemen voluntarily surrender. The project has been operating since August 2022.
