Qatar Reaffirms Firm Support For Sudan's Unity, Territorial Integrity

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar has reaffirmed its firm support for the unity and territorial integrity of Sudan and the right of its people to a dignified life, security, and stability, while emphasising its deep concern over the ongoing armed conflict, which has caused unprecedented suffering for the people.

This came in a statement delivered today by HE the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Office in Geneva Dr Hind Abdulrahman al-Muftah during her participation in the interactive dialogue on Sudan, held within the framework of the 63rd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

She unequivocally condemned all violations committed in the context of the armed conflict in Sudan, stressing the importance of adhering to the rules of international humanitarian law, which prohibit targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in armed conflicts.
