Arab League Backs Qatar's Bid For 2036 Olympic And Paralympic Games
The endorsement came in a resolution issued during the 166th Ordinary Session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held Monday at the Secretariat General headquarters in Cairo.
The Council stated that this support forms part of efforts to bolster the Arab presence in the global sports arena, calling on Arab member states to endorse Qatar's candidacy for the 2036 Olympic and Paralympic Games in international forums.
Furthermore, the Council tasked the Secretariat General of the Arab League with following up on the resolution's implementation, emphasizing the importance of joint Arab coordination to support international initiatives
