Over 380,000 Families In Frontline Communities To Receive Winter Support

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergii Koretskyi said this in a Telegram post, according to Ukrinform.

“More than 380,000 families in frontline communities will receive a one-time payment of UAH 19,400 to help them get through the heating season. This assistance is intended for Ukrainians who need it most: people with disabilities, single pensioners, internally displaced persons, recipients of housing subsidies, large and foster families, single mothers, families raising children with disabilities, family-type children's homes, and foster care families,” the statement said.

According to Koretskyi, Ukraine secured UAH 7.4 billion from international humanitarian organizations for the program. Part of the funding was provided by UNICEF and the Ukrainian Red Cross through the humanitarian account of the Ministry of Social Policy.

The Prime Minister reminded eligible recipients that they can apply for the payments through the Pension Fund, administrative service centers (CNAPs), or local authorities. Applications will be accepted until October 30. The funds can be received either in a bank account or through Ukrposhta, Ukraine's national postal service.

As previously reported, UNICEF will provide UAH 2.01 billion to the humanitarian account of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity. The funds will be distributed among households in frontline regions.
