Israeli Forces Demolish West Bank Homes, Arrest 30 Palestinians

Ramallah, Sept. 7 (Petra) - Israeli occupation forces launched sweeping raids on Monday in the occupied West Bank, demolishing homes, serving eviction notices to five families, and arresting 30 Palestinians.

Widespread search-and-arrest raids across the occupied West Bank, including field interrogations, touched off clashes and led to the arrest of 30 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society.

Troops also demolished the family home of Abu Mayaleh in Beit Hanina, and issued eviction notices for five other northern Jerusalem properties. One owner near the Jaba' checkpoint had 24 hours to evacuate despite an ongoing legal challenge, while four households in Dahiyat al-Aqbat were given 48 hours.

Last month, Israeli authorities carried out 71 demolitions targeting 155 structures, directly affecting at least 200 residents, including 75 children, according to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.

Meanwhile, Israeli settlers fenced off large swathes of land in Al-Hadidiya region in the northern Jordan Valley of the occupied West Bank, barring Palestinians from accessing vital agricultural and grazing areas.

Near Nablus, armed settlers assaulted two Palestinians and vandalized a farm structure in Beita. Overnight, settlers cut power lines between Beita and Osarin, causing widespread blackout.
