Police Investigate Suspected Sabotage at German Power Substations
(MENAFN) German police investigate possible sabotage after a fire reaches a power substation in central Berlin and authorities discover signs of an apparent break-in at another facility in western Germany.

Officers discover a section of the security fence that has been cut, suggesting that unidentified individuals may have entered the site.
A police helicopter patrols the extensive facility as officers conduct a search. Authorities do not immediately confirm whether any equipment or other technical infrastructure has been damaged or interfered with.
The incidents occur as German authorities search for a 48-year-old man from North Rhine-Westphalia who is suspected of attempting several acts of sabotage targeting the country’s electricity network since last week. Investigators release photographs and a wanted notice Saturday, appealing to the public for information.
