Jordan Red Crescent Dispatches Aid Convoy To Gaza
Amman, Sept. 7 (Petra) -- The Jordan Red Crescent Society (JRCS) sent a new convoy of humanitarian aid trucks to the Gaza Strip on Monday, in coordination with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
The convoy departed Amman for Gaza via Egyptian ports and crossings, carrying aid supplies as part of continued Jordanian efforts to support the Palestinian people.
JRCS President Mohammad Al-Hadid, said the dispatch of the convoy reflects Jordan's steadfast position in support of the Palestinian people and its commitment to easing their suffering through continued humanitarian aid.
Al-Hadid credited His Majesty King Abdullah II's support and directives for the kingdom's humanitarian efforts, and also thanked Jordanian government agencies and security bodies for facilitating the convoy's movement and ensuring aid reaches those in need.
Al-Hadid also thanked Egypt for its cooperation, adding that the JRCS will work with its partners to deliver aid to Palestinians and respond to the needs in Gaza.
