Ukrainian Air Defense Forces Down 71 Russian Drones Overnight
Starting at 18:00 on Sunday, September 6, Russian forces launched 92 combat drones, including jet-powered Shahed-type drones, Gerbera drones, Parodiya decoy drones, and S8000 Banderol drones, from the directions of Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 on Monday, September 7, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 71 drones.
Hits were recorded at 12 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at one location.
