Israeli Strikes Kill 11, Including Two Infants, in South Lebanon
(MENAFN) At least 11 people, among them two infants, were killed and five others wounded overnight in a wave of Israeli airstrikes across southern Lebanon, Lebanon's state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported Monday.
The deadliest strike leveled a three-story residential building in the town of Kafr Rouman, near Nabatieh, in the early hours after midnight. Rescue crews pulled nine bodies from the wreckage, including the two infants, and treated five wounded survivors at the scene, according to NNA.
In a second, separate strike on Kafr Rouman, an Israeli drone hit a civilian vehicle, killing two paramedics affiliated with the Islamic Risala Scout Association who were riding inside.
Israeli warplanes also struck multiple targets in Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Arabsalim, flattening at least one house in the latter town, NNA said.
The agency additionally reported that Israel's military had issued an evacuation warning for a residential building in Deir al-Zahrani. Roughly 22 minutes later, Israeli warplanes destroyed the structure.
