Man Faces Attempted Murder Charge Over Saudi National Stabbing in London


(MENAFN) London police charge a 58-year-old man with attempted murder following the stabbing of a Saudi national during an alleged robbery attempt in central London.

The suspect also faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm, attempted robbery and possessing a bladed weapon in a public place.

The incident takes place Thursday evening in Berkeley Square in Mayfair, where a Saudi man in his 40s is stabbed during an attempted robbery. He is taken to hospital for medical treatment and remains in stable condition with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police arrest the 58-year-old suspect at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and attempted robbery. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
