Israeli Strikes Kill Palestinians Across Gaza, Including Children

Israeli attacks in several parts of the Gaza Strip killed five Palestinians, including two children, over the past 24 hours, according to reports.
In the most recent incident, Israeli artillery fire hit a classroom being used as a shelter by displaced Palestinians in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. The attack killed a seven-year-old child.
Earlier, Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians in Gaza City's Rimal neighborhood, leaving two people dead.
A separate Israeli drone strike targeted a civilian vehicle in Gaza City, killing Palestinian Youssef Aqila and his nine-year-old daughter, Wafaa. The girl had attended the start of the new school year earlier that day. Images shared following the attack showed her schoolbooks and school supplies scattered around the site.
Other Israeli attacks wounded several Palestinians in the Tuffah neighborhood and at the Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City. Four of those injured were transported to Al-Shifa Medical Complex for treatment.
At daybreak, Israeli fighter jets conducted two strikes against an abandoned commercial building near the “yellow line” in Tuffah. The attacks destroyed the former Al-Sakhra commercial complex and left nine people wounded, including local residents and displaced Palestinians sheltering in the vicinity.
Israeli reconnaissance drones also maintained intensive low-altitude flights over large areas of western Gaza.
The latest incidents add to a series of reported Israeli violations of the ceasefire that has been in place in Gaza since Oct. 10, 2025.
According to the latest figures from Gaza's Health Ministry, violations of the truce have killed 1,344 Palestinians and injured another 4,464.
The broader Israeli military campaign has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 174,000, while causing extensive destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip.
