Yemeni Forces Intensify Airstrikes Against Houthi Sites

(MENAFN) Yemeni military aircraft launched 13 airstrikes early Monday against Houthi positions, military gatherings and vehicles in central Yemen, with a missile launcher among the targets, according to reports.
The strikes hit several locations across Al-Bayda governorate, including the Al-Sharyah, Dhi Na’im, Al-Bayda and Al-Sawadiyah districts.
In southern Al-Dhale governorate, another aerial operation targeted Houthi military infrastructure on Mount Nasa along the Murais front. The attack destroyed a command-and-control facility as well as a thermal surveillance system, according to the military. Houthi fighters gathered in the surrounding area were also targeted.
The latest strikes came only hours after Yemeni forces said they had regained several positions in Taiz and Al-Hudaydah governorates following fighting that reportedly killed or injured more than 20 Houthi fighters.
The army also reported additional aerial attacks against Houthi locations in Taiz, Al-Hudaydah, Marib and Al-Jawf.
Fighting has intensified on multiple fronts across Yemen in recent weeks, with opposing sides exchanging attacks since July. The renewed violence has disrupted a period of relative stability that had continued since a UN-backed truce was introduced in April 2022.
